On November 11, 2023, the 70th anniversary celebration of the founding of Acta Anatomica Sinica was grandly held at the No. 1 Auditorium of Peking Union Medical College, which has a century-long history. In this historic venue of the century-old Peking Union Medical College and the No. 1 Auditorium, experts, scholars, and academicians gathered to celebrate the 70-year glorious journey of Acta Anatomica Sinica, witnessing its development and achievements.!

"Respecting Science and Benefiting Humanity" is the highest principle of modern Chinese medicine at Peking Union Medical College, which also serves as the founding site of the century-old Chinese Anatomical Society. The 70th anniversary celebration of Acta Anatomica Sinica was held in the historic No. 1 Auditorium, symbolizing the profound cultural and academic heritage carried by this ancient discipline. This historic event gathered over 50 distinguished guests from across the nation. The celebration not only paid tribute to the 70-year illustrious history of Acta Anatomica Sinica but also highlighted the leading position of the Chinese Anatomical Society in academic research and exchange.

Academic Exchange Meeting

Professor Li Qing, Vice President of Peking Union Medical College, Chinese Academy of Medical Sciences; Professor Li Yunqing, Chairman of the Chinese Anatomical Society and Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Neuroanatomy; Professor Xu Qunyuan, former Chairman of the Chinese Anatomical Society and Advisor of Acta Anatomica Sinica; Professor Zhang Hongquan, Vice Chairman of the Chinese Anatomical Society; Professor Cui Huizhi; Professor Li He; Professor Sui Hongjin; Professor Xiao Min; Professor Xu Jiajun; Professor Ouyang Min; and Mr. Zhang Ling, President of Peking Union Medical College Press, among other invited guests, attended the grand ceremony and delivered speeches at the opening. The celebration was hosted by Professor Ma Chao, Vice Chairman and Secretary-General of the Chinese Anatomical Society and Editor-in-Chief of Acta Anatomica Sinica.

    Following the opening ceremony, Professor Li Yunqing, Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Neuroanatomy; Professor Li He, Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Histochemistry and Cytochemistry; Professor Zhang Hongquan, Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Acta Anatomica Sinica; Professor Ouyang Min, Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Clinical Anatomy; and Professor Xu Jiajun, Editor-in-Chief of Chinese Journal of Anatomy, delivered outstanding academic reports at the conference.
